An exploration of the Northern Nevada landscape maps the filmmaker’s memories of home and retraces sites of significance from the Ruby Mountains in the East to Mount Rose in the West.

The process of sifting through countless oral histories, stories and memories begins to take shape as the filmmaker is unsure what within these memoryscapes she can claim as her own, if anything at all. The use of memory as her guide becomes key, as many times those memories are incorrect and lead to a new discovery; sometimes the only remnants of a place are in her memories, or transcribed digitally onto legacy media. This film is a personal, familial, historical, and experimental document that searches for ‘truths’ that lie between the past and present, while questioning the future.
